summer*'s {1st} job...

...well, outside of the family business that is...
starting tues., sept. 8th, summer* will be an ASSISTANT MOPETTE...
she will be helping to care for the children during the MOPS mtgs.,
at Parkway Baptist Church.
(it is probably the biggest church in btown, also where she attended Christian School for 3rd & 4th grades) - she will be working with preschool aged children from 9am - 11:30am every 2nd and 4th tuesday of the month. she will be paid $10/day!! woo hoo! {she is very excited to say the least!} in her words "you mean i get to get Paid, for Playing with little kids??"

there will be two other "older kids" that will be helping out, one is 10yo - the other (a friend of s*'s - Esther 14 yo) so that is even more exciting to her!
s* came Highly recommended as one of the ladies i scrap with is in the MOPS group and put in a good word on her behalf!

now, they will only meet once a month for Oct., Nov., & Dec., as they follow the Nelson County school schedule, and the 4th tues. of each of those mos. the kids will be out of school - for fall break, Thanksgiving, & Christmas) but she will resume 'normal' schedule in Jan.,
and i believe the program runs through March~
of course, in s*'s mind the money is already spent, but we are continuing to work thru the Handling $ God's Way book and hopefully it will have an impact as she is earning thru her "hard" work...(lol)
