first let me just say that the time is Literally flying by!
we picked up our little girls on saturday morning (after the drive to Columbia, Ky)
we arrived around 11:30am our time, and watched them walk & sleep for a about
a half hour while talking with the breeders --
when we pulled in the driveway at home,
we immediately let them romp in the yard and they both peed!!!! yeah!
we stayed out there for almost an hour, they loved running around in the grass -- FREE!
the night progressed with playing, sleeping, going outside...
almost always in 45 min. increments each...
finally by 2am we decided to shut down the house and try to get some sleep ourselves -
they decided it was time to get up at 4:30am (with cries, whines, yelps, and howls)
--oops, who saw that comin'??--
so out they went, this time on the front porch where we have a little homemade potty box
(to protect us all from the rain), they took to it right away and peed!
in the house we went, thinking we were all going back to sleep (the girls had a different plan!)
we played for about an hour and down they went again to start the cycle again from earlier that day ...
about 1pm, they decided to sleep for about 2 1/2 hrs.,
when they got up, we tried to keep them up as long as possible,
which was so funny because Sophia will run full speed right at you
and when she lands in your lap, she closes her eyes and konks out, ha ha ha
Rocky on the other hand, will dig a little nest and then she is just a fidget!
mom came by for a couple hours and played, and right after she left
the puppies decided to take a nap for a whopping 5 HOURS!!
(i was a little afraid something was wrong and kept checking their breathing)
once they woke up from that LONG NAP we tried to (again)
to keep them up as long as possible, but they would just stop playing and lay down!
again, around 3am we decided to shut down the house for the night,
(ignore the wimpering) and sleep for 6 hours -- it worked!!
they got up at 9am refreshed -
the cage was NOT torn apart, but they did pee/poo on the potty pads!
these are Great Girls!

Names ...
ever since we decided to get mini-schnauzers (2 years ago),
we've been calling the dog Pheffer
we all love the Rocky movies with Sylvester Stallone,
so we decided to name the first one Rocky
~~Rocky Pheffer~~
we had a heck of a time naming the other one
(if you think Sophia is bad, you should've seen the other names! tee hee)
and since Rocky Pheffer had two names,
we wanted to pick something exciting like Rogue for Sophia!

I am really glad you and Josh are dealing with the incessant barking and wining. That was one of the parts that never really turned me on. Have fun, I love you..Dad
