s* is still getting over being sick...it has been almost 2 weeks now, ugh!
she has missed our Reformation Enrichment class that i am helping to teach, but more importantly we had two new little girls join our homeschool group and s* has become fast friends with them and they were planning to present together at the Reformation Celebration on Nov. 6th...due to be absent 2 (of 7 weeks) she is bummed that they have been unable to get together to plan their project - :(
today she is missing her first day of work at MOPS, where she babysits 3-5 yr. olds...she is so bummed about it, she doesn't like being "absent" or "taking a sick day"....
i insisted that she stay home from work today, so as not to get any little ones sick (she is around babies, too)...
it is so refreshing to see that this 'burdens her conscience' because at her age, i was clamouring for a day to skip any responsibilites i had! (don't get me wrong, she still tries to evade her responsibilities at home, sometimes) but, i am happy to see that accountability is important to her!
we ended up canceling our Reformation class today because of the storms coming our way & tornadoes have already touched down in l'ville (mom is okay!)...
here is what we are getting ready to face:
keep us in your prayers...

Sorry to hear that S* was sick, but I share your joy that she is committed to her activities. Hope all went well with the storms, and God spared you of any trauma. Love ya -- Dad
