~~Happy 4th of July~~

what a fantastic day! what a fantastic celebration (the whole week, really)...

here are just a few pix...we didn't get a shot of everything, but here are some cute ones:

s* created these tasty treats all by herself!

she really enjoys cooking and is getting better and better at it, everytime!

our homechurch (all 8 members - not including me, mike, & s*) came to our house for our Sunday Bible teaching, food, and fellowship! it was Great! we are currently studying the history of the Bible, so we talked about that a little bit in terms of the Founding Father's reliance of the Holy Scriptures in crafting our Founding Documents: Constitution, Declaration of Independence, etc...we had a lunch (subs, potato salad, handmade blueberry pie, deviled eggs, 7 layer taco salad, etc.) so much good good stuff! we started the class at 11am, and our last guest left around 5pm. it was a lot of fun! even tho our house is kinda small to accomodate 11 people, everyone seemed to be comfortable...these are trully some of the most friendly people i've known - they trully love Christ! it comes through in the way they carry themselves - and they are really big on prayer! it has been such a blessing getting to know them these last couple of months!!

later that nite (after dark) s* spent a couple hours down the street with her friend hannah, whose family invested $1000 in sensational fireworks! they were the really big ones (i wish we would've thought to snap some pictures, i guess we were caught up in the moment!) mike & i could easily see the fireworks from our driveway - they covered half the sky above our street!!
